Card Frames / Card Cages

These card frames utilize a patented design that provides a durable, ruggedized assembly featuring an extruded panel of card guides. These card guides are on 0.80” pitch and can support PCBs up to 400mm in depth. The assembly is very resistant to shock and vibration making it an ideal choice for harsh commercial, industrial and military applications. Unlike plastic card guide systems, these all-aluminum card frames eliminate the problem of guide flexing and breakage.

MaxAir™ VME Card Frames

MaxAir™ VME Card Frames are designed to achieve very efficient cooling and provide up to 20% lower forced air back pressure as compared to competitive models with plastic card guides.

Rugged VME Card Frames

Rugged VME Card Frames are recommended for applications that may be exposed to extreme shock and vibration environments. The extra wide front and rear rail extrusions are mounted to the side plates with two stainless steel mounting screws at each end and provide a solid structure to guide and secure the cards. The extra wide front and rear extrusions also resist bowing when inserting or extracting cards in large 400mm card frames.

Key Features

  • Monolithic extruded aluminum card guides
  • Press fit structural assembly
  • Powder coat finish

Benefits

  • Provides an un-interrupted board guide
  • Will meet MIL-STD-901 and MIL-STD-167
  • Highly durable and environmentally safe

Card Guide Clusters / Decks

MaxAir™ VME Guide Deck

MaxAir™ VME Guide Decks are designed to achieve very efficient cooling and provide up to 20% lower forced air back pressure as compared to competitive models with plastic card guides.

Rugged VME Guide Deck

Rugged VME Guide Decks are recommended for applications that may be exposed to extreme shock and vibration environments. The extra wide front and rear extrusions are mounted to the side plates with two mounting screws and provide a solid structure to guide and secure the cards. The extra wide front and rear extrusions also resist bowing when inserting or extracting cards in large 21 slot cages.

Key Features

  • Monolithic extruded aluminum card guides
  • Force fit homogenous assembly
  • Powder coat finish over clear chromate

Benefits

  • Provides an un-interrupted board guide
  • Will meet MIL-STD-901 and MIL-STD-167
  • Highly durable and environmentally safe

Ejector Handles

Single VME Handle
   VME Single CAM Style

Triple E continues it’s tradition of rugged, extruded aluminum Eurocage components with the introduction of the Triple*Ease™ Single CAM ejector handle. This extruded aluminum handle is backed by a lifetime warranty against breakage. The Single CAM handles are a direct replacement for many plastic handles of similar design from other manufactures so there is no need to change your front panel design. Specify the Triple*Ease™ Single CAM VME ejector handles, they won’t break, bend, out-gas, melt or burn. Contact your local manufactures representative or factory for ordering guide.

VME Handles, IEEE 1101.1 handle, extruded aluminum handles

Also with a lifetime warranty against breakage, the Triple*Ease™ Twin CAM design (pictured above) reduces parts count and assembly time compared with single CAM handles. Available in many widths from 4HP up to 16HP, Triple*Ease™ extruded handles offer uniform extraction of large modules and stacked circuit cards. When using front panels that are 8HP or larger, we recommend using our QUAD CAM ejector handle (pictured below) for uniform extraction of boards.

When using tall 9U cards and you need that extra extraction force, try the Triple*Ease™ low profile long handle.

VME Fixed Handles in Various Widths

Triple E offers a variety of fixed metal handles that utilize a lineal thread for ease of assembly to any panel. Designed to accept a 2,5mm x 8mm screw.

The handle coupler is a unique design that allows joining of multiple front panels. This coupler slides over Twin CAM handles and is held in place with set screws. Couplers are extruded aluminum and available in various widths and powder coat finishes.
